The 2026 Election
Early Voting
In the 2024 Presidential Election, Connecticut Voters could cast their ballots early for the first time. More than a third of eligible voters in Norfolk participated in Early Voting. Since then, the process for voting early has improved. When a voter completes their ballot they simply place it in the voting machine to be counted immediately, just like on Election Day. When the voter’s ballot is recorded, their voting history is updated to insure they can’t come back on Election Day and attempt to vote again.
This November, voters can cast their ballots as early as October 19 or any day up to Sunday, November 1. Click here: for Early Voting dates and times. All Early Voting in Norfolk takes place in Norfolk Town Hall.
Early Voting follows the same processes used on Election Day to insure that all votes are counted, safe, and, secure. The voting machines used to count ballots in CT do not have Wi-Fi capabilities and cannot connect to the internet so there is no possibility of a corruption of votes.
